Operating a local business is extremely rewarding.  But among its many challenges is the growing dominance of internet shopping and purchases made outside the Buda-Kyle area.  A group of local business owners, in conjunction with the local Chambers and the EDC, have developed promotional materials to draw the attention of consumers and to encourage their loyalty to local businesses. 
We are setting up panel discussions and public events to illustrate the substantial and varied contributions local businesses provide our community. We are creating a searchable website to provide consumers with specific information about local businesses, their products and their services.  We encourage you to support this public awareness campaign by placing the Buy Local-Buda & Kyle window stickers in your storefront.  In addition, we have a point-of-purchase campaign to acknowledge customer support and to inform them about the benefits you provide to this community. 
Finally, we also encourage local businesses to buy their goods and services locally. 

AS A CONSUMER ―

Local businesses are the heart and soul of any community - including Buda and Kyle.  More often than not, it is the knowledgeable service and attention to your needs that you value and respect in local businesses.  In addition, local businesses contribute to the community by keeping money local and supporting the local economy.  Every dollar you spend at a local merchant has three times the impact in our local and regional economy.  Every tax dollar spent here goes to our local governmental entities. And, not insignificantly, it is local businesses that contribute to schools, local projects, youth groups, neighborhood functions and civic projects. 

HOW YOU CAN HELP!

First and foremost we want you to Buy Local-Buda & Kyle.  Whether you are a business or community member, recognize and value the way your buying decisions can and do change the shape of your community.

If you visit a local business that does not have its Buy Local-Buda & Kyle decal in the window, be an advocate and encourage the owner to become a partner.  It is easy.  It builds recognition not only of Buy Local-Buda & Kyle but of the importance of each business to the community and it helps consumers find and recognize each individual business.

If you are a business please make every effort to promote Buy Local-Buda & Kyle through posting of window stickers, distribution of consumer stickers and including the logo in your personalized promotions.  Understand the important role you play in your community and local economy.  Please thank your customers for choosing to Buy Local-Buda & Kyle .
